Can you paint nail polish on bunnies nails?

I have a black and white dutch-bunnie. And had an idea, is it safe to paint their nails with nail polish? People do that with dogs, but it this ok to do? And I haven't trimmed them yet. So they are pretty long.

thanks! Can you paint nail polish on bunnies nails?
It's possible yes, but it's not safe. How would you be able to dry the nails so that bedding wouldn't get stuck on the wet paint or prevent your rabbit from licking the toxic paint off? You can't blow dry them since that would be extreme torture to your pet, even if someone was holding him.

I really don't like the idea. The more important thing is that you get the nails trimmed so that they don't grow too long that they start to curve in and into your pet's paws (but I'm sure you won't let that happen). Can you paint nail polish on bunnies nails?
It is safe to paint their nails unless they have a habit of biting them. Many breeders do this to help identify them, especially when fostering them to a different mother. Just keep the nails trimmed because if you don't, your rabbit is more than likely to break a leg or at least a toe. In the wild they always are digging around, keeping their nails shorter, but they don't get to most of the time as pets, so just keep that in mind, and you'll be good.
yeah its fine..

just keep 'em trimmed :)

and get the teeth checked at the same time, they can cause injuries if they're not trimmed..
I'd say it's safe because bunnies don't gnaw at their paws like cats and dogs do.
yea its fine, we did it at our school to identify which ones were which because we had like 40 or something like that.
its ok. i use to work at a kennel/grooming parlor out in the country its ok.
