Can you mix nail polish to get different colors, similar to how you would mix paint?

My friend and I want a color we don't have, and I was wondering if nail polish was similar enough to paint to mix two together and get a new color. Can you mix nail polish to get different colors, similar to how you would mix paint?
Yes you can. I do this all the time. Start with an empty or almost empty bottle and add a little of the colors you want to mix. It's a fun and inexpensive way to get different colors. The best part is if you don't like the color, throw in another color for something completely different. Also, it's a good idea to have some black and white nail polish so you can make a color lighter or darker. Enjoy! Can you mix nail polish to get different colors, similar to how you would mix paint?
Of course you can, youd just have to be careful what colours you mixed because they will tend to turn into yucky browns.
have fun making your own colors! it is fun to see what you can mix up! there is no adverse reaction to mixing them!
yeah of course, its just nail polish. and you can also like put one on and then put a different color over it. that can look cute too
yea my moms done it before she maid a gold color
no it will be gross
absolutely! just pay attention 2 what you're mixing so you can get more of the same color if you need it...
yes you can because i have tried mixing pink with silver and this beautiful shiny color formed.. i use it all the time...i call it pilver (pink+silver)lol
Yes mixing nail polish works.

Recently I mixed yellow and red nail polish to acheive a pretty orange nail polish color. And my nails came out beautifuly.
I used one color over another and got a very rich and smooth color. Lots of my friends liked the result. But I don''t think it will work by mixing them before you put them on, because it would be hard to fulling mix those thick liquid.
yes but the best way is to simply put a coat on your nail of one colour(colour A)

then put colour B on top

put darker colours on first
