Can i paint my house key with nail polish?

i cant get a copy, but i want to paint it with a pink color. sooo can i do it or will it ruin the key somehow? thanks! Can i paint my house key with nail polish?
It has a thickness, so it could keep the key from fitting in the hole. You can try and scrape it off if you see that it doesn't work. Don't bother putting any on the teeth, it'd wear away in no time, nor in the grooves, it would most certainly obstruct them.

I used nail polish as paint and varnish for small objects a couple of times and liked the result, so don't hesitate to try. If the result is bad, it's not hard to remove. Can i paint my house key with nail polish?
Hi--why not just paint the top part to keep it noticable on your chain.

That way it won't interfere with the cut part that helps open the lock. That said, it wont' cause that much of an issue as nail polish is thin. The most that will most likely happen is that it flakes off.
do not paint the part that goes in the lock.just the handel.that will be o.k.good luck.
you can. just not thick. and not to much on the part you enter into the door.
yes, and if it doesn't work use nail polish remover and take it off.
