Thank You in advance!!!!How do you get finger nail paint off a carpet?
Start with acetone. You can buy it in the paint section at hardware stores. Open the windows and wear rubber gloves. Acetone is highly toxic and noxious. Poor it directly on the carpet then blot with a rag. If it doesn't dissolve, scrub with a stiff bristle brush. Follow up with the product called ';Goo Gone';( also in the paint section). You may want to vacuum with a Shop Vac to finnish it off.

Be careful if this carpet is man made fibers, acetone is a powerful solvent. TEST it first somewhere it won't notice, in a corner on an edge and make sure it doesn't dissolve the carpet before you pour a big bunch in the middle!!

Acetone is not all that toxic. The human body manufactures it. It doesn't smell that bad either. Your answerer may be thinking about turpentine which is toxic and smells very bad.

I dont know but ibdastev definately does not have the best answer. You can buy acetone in the nail polish section its called nail polish remover. And that should be all you need. I would be careful mixing goo-gone with acetone.

Pour it on and place papertowels over it and put something heavy on it

Beetlemama1970 is right, if the carpet is acetate, you'll make it worse using the acetone polish remover to try to get it up (it'll actually dissolve the carpet fibers %26amp; mom will notice). Try putting a non-acetone polish remover on two seperate paper towels, %26amp; rub the spot between the papertowels.

start with the acetone nail polish remover then use laundry detergent...the liquid stuff works the best. a good bristle brush and some elbow grease and it's gone. works best if the polish is freshly dropped on the carpet. trust me, i've done it and it works!

Acetone is flammable but is not all that toxic, as another mentioned. It will remove nail polish, but test it on an inconspicuous spot elsewhere on the rug first to be sure it won't damage it.

Most modern carpet is made primarily of nylon. Acetone will dissolve nylon fibers. In addition if the carpet is glued down, acetone will also dissolve most carpet adhesives and the carpet will release. I used to work as a carpet installer.

pour finger nail polish remover on it and soak it up with paper towels it will come up eventually, u may have to use a lot of the remover . I did this once with red fingernail polish, it got it right out.
Well the right thing to do is tell your mom but if you absolutely feel you cant then Goo Gone is your answer lol. It works wonders on just about any surface and any stain. Hope it works for you and if not hope your mom takes it well :)
Acetone will do it. Remember to use a clots with acetone soaked on it and Pat it....don't wipe. If you wipe it will smear
Acetone (aka nail polish remover). You can find a larger can of it in most paint depts.
