How do you paint your nails so that it goes right on your nail and not your skin?

Just be careful, but if you're right handed and you have to paint the right hand (or vice versa) it can be hard! Sometimes I put tape on the skin around my nails (masking tape is better) and that helps a lot. :)How do you paint your nails so that it goes right on your nail and not your skin?
Start by applying the first strip right down the center of the nail. Use a broad stroke for this first strip. Than dip the brush again (using a little less polish) and overlap the center on each side, This is how I've seen the professionals do it in salons.

You should start about 2 millimeters from your skin and push the nail polish brush back. This will create a perfect crescent shape that jives with your natural nail shape and it won't get your skin covered in nail polish. After doing the bottom paint with quick strokes outward from your body to fill in the rest of the nail with polish.
simple, before you put the nail polish on add a liitle bit of oil around the skin area the carefully apply the nail polish, once your done wipe of the nail polish and..volia
You can pour a little of the polish onto a paper towel. Then just keep a steady hand and put on a little dab of polish on the brush.Then use light careful strokes.
i personally take my time, and then when i take a shower, rub away any excess nail polish left. works for me(:

Most girls I see that paint my nails leaves a half of inch space on the edges of the nails so if the paint bleeds over it still doesn't touch your skin.
Super duper carefullly...and if you cant do that use a Q-tip with polish remover to remove what you messed up! Good luck!
be really careful and practice alot. it took me forever to not get it on my skin.
