I had a friend who once painted her ipod with light pink nailpolish...and it came out so cute and soft..I couldn't stop feeling it!


So I guess you should go for it..just try to even the nailpolish out, and you can add stickers. I added some shiny glitter stickers to my phone..


but be careful to not mess it up, my friend was super orgonized and careful so she didn't mess it up...but who knows..anything can happen!!! The worst is to get it on the keypad. so my advice is to put tape around and be extremely careful!

nail polish is a good idea. ive seen people with awsome outcomes and...really bad ones...





i think putting little jewls on phones is really cute. you can get the phone blig/jewls at claires (they have sticky backs so its easy to do) and they also sell jewel stickers that have like skulls hearts rainbows and more on them.


or you can go to a craft store and they have jewls without the sticky backs, so u would also need to purchase a glue. At a lot of malls, there are like carts (mall kiosks) in the middle where you walk. Check your mall to see if they have a kiosk like ';Bling4me'; ';PimpMyPhone'; or something like those. they are profesionals and you can get REALY swarovski crystals styled on ur phone. i really recomend that. its sooo cool everyone is jelous of mine :]





HOWEVER if your phone breaks and you have anything on it (jewls, nail polish, stickers, etc) you have to take it off in order to get a replacement...
Yeah that phone is crappy, BUT, If your using nail polish I coat it really good let the color dry, then put a clear top coat on it too mke it look nice and shiny and keep it from chipping. But if I were going to do something like that I would get a plain cell phone cover and paint it so you don't hurt your phone and you can still have the original color.





Or just buy a really pretty cell phone cover.





OR, Use sharpies, they're better to detail with.

If you have time on your hands you can decorate it with cute flowers that complement the phone color. youtube has great vids on tutorials for nail art/paintings. I would not suggest painting the entire phone with polish. Good luck. I love the phone color by the way!
Don't even try, it will either run off into your keypad or if it dries you'll have leads of brush marks all over and it will look awful. Buy a skin or use some diamante stickers.

No, not only is it bad for the piercing, you could potentially be poisoning yourself. Nail polish is not supposed to be ingested and with the amount of moisture and movement the tongue does,it will most likely flake off and be ingested. Nail polish is not meant for internal use. Have a look and see if there are clear barbells. I know these are available for facial piercings
probably not, because the paint could come off into your mouth and poison you.
by doing that you would basically be drinking small quantities of nail polish. why would you want to do that? i sell togue retainers for 50 cents each if you're doing it to hide the piercing, and if you're doing it to change the color, it's $15 for a bag of 100 tongue rings. you have nothing to gain by endangering yourself by painting your tongue ring with nail polish.

well one thing I did one day was make my nails checkered. I got SOO many compliments on them! that is their way of saying we are not ready for that yet and we want you to wait awhile longer please. They may have old fashioned values and there is nothing wrong with that. It is their house and their rules until you move out. Your nails can still be pretty if you manicure them. I think plain nails that are well groomed and clean is sexy. It is not such a big deal when you look at it. Just respect them for now and in 2 years you can move out and do as you please. start saving for that day now. they love you and that matters more than a coat of nail polish don't you think.

My toenails are ALWAYS black!! I hate having to match nail color to shoes or outfits. Who honestly has time for that? I'd love to be able to rock some awesome red polish all the time, but there's no way that would work.





I wear a lot of black and white, so black always works. Most of my shoes are either black sandals or black peep-toe heels, so I need something that will blend in. I also love not having to reapply coats to get an even color. One coat of black does it for me, compared to 2 or 3 coats of a pink or red.





My fingernails are usually always natural because I have the worst habit of chipping off my nailpolish. I make sure to get regular manicures to keep them looking their best, even if they are kind of plain!

no. as long as you use non-acetone you will be fine. it may take awhile cause they glob on that clear coat...ugh i hate that. so try soaking them for a minute or 2 before trying to take it off....will make it alittle easier! =)

Most flesh-toned nail polish tends to be partially transparent, but a couple of coats could greatly decrease the visibility.





Edit: Check the Healthy and Beauty area at a department store. You should be able to locate some cheap French Manicure kits containing flesh-colored polish.
I have the same problem, but it wasn't caused from skateboarding. I do paint over it, the best I can, with various colors, but then again, I'm a female. You can find flesh colored tones, just be sure it's enamel, because enamel stays longer, and has a denser quality to it that will cover the blackness. It takes a lllloonnnnnggg time for these to grow out, doesn't it? Yikes!

As long as the toenail is completely falling off and not infected or bleeding or anything like that at this point then yes, its fine. I stubbed my toe really bad and (my toes were painted at the time) I never took the paint off and once the wound healed and it began to lift I did carefully paint it again. Well i have no experience with nail polish but i assume painting over it would sting like hell when you try and i also assume it would be bad if you let that soak into your toe, id say no. Wear socks for now.

Well as a stylist,


I DONT suggest the following:


-PINK. This is too much of a contrast, and are completely different colour bases. This to me screams out ';barbie'; fashion diva, which is not the look you want to go for.


-Same colour as your dress. This can be overbearing and draw unnecessary attention to your hands, especially if you have like lighter skin


-BLACK. Do not do black. Black Nail polish is definately not the eway to go. It is not elegant but will only create a HUGE contrast.


-RED. TOO much of a contrast- the colours are inconsistent.





If you wanted to do nail polish, I would suggest a silver or a platinum colour. It will blend nicely with your hands and not create a distraction or draw attention away from the dress, your figure and your face.





If you did not want to do nail polish, You can get gloves made of satin or silk at an accessories store, ardenes, claires, etc. which cost 10 dollars. I would do black gloves, since youare doing black shoes.

what about a shimmery white, try ';Lola'; nail polish, it's from collection 2000, I have this color and think it will look nice with your dress.





you can get it from superdrug.
Very sheer pale pink or silver, with a bit of a pearl finish. Don't over do it with glitter. Try Essie brand 'Pinkadelic', or similar iridescent color. Just keep it sheer.
If you want a striking contrast then go for a deep red (which I think would look good). But if not I would choose either a more neutral colour or keep it simple and go for a clear coat.
Black nail polish would look good.

My father's keyboard all the letters wore off from use. The keyboard still works perfectly so the solution he used was simple, go to the store buy those stick on letters the small ones, stick them on your keys in the right places.


The other solution is to get some paint and a very small paint brush and paint the letters back, but they will look painted I can tell you that because that was my first solution.


One last solution I just thought of now are rubber stamps but you would need to remove each key to stamp the letter on it.

Wow what a great idea. A special mark you can identify if stolen..
never use spray paint if you're not experienced with spray paint. it might get into the sensitive parts of your computer or clog up ventilations. you will totally ruin your notebook. why not cover the whole cover with vinyl? you can find rolls of it in your local hardware shop or car parts. they use it to cover cabinet %26amp; car interiors. it has an adhesive backing so you just have to stick it in your cover.for curved or rounded edges, use a blow drier to soften the material %26amp; pull it until it fits snugly w/o wrinkles. i've done this in my own old, scratched laptop %26amp; an old scratched iPod. now it looks new. these things come in many colors. if you want more info email me.
The damage is done. Since it is cosmetic, why worry about it? If the plastic is continuing to melt, the computer mfgr may be able to replace it if it is a newer model.

I heared that they don't chip for like 2-3 days, so i went off and bought one. I tried it and then it stared chipping on the 2nd day of wearing it. i guess like any polish it depends how much u use yr hands. my daughter has the neon pink one from their range and its seems to last well tho on me it wouldnt as im always washing up, cleaning etc. a top coat will help to protect the varnish.
I have been obsessed with Barry M Nail paint in 304 mint green for the whole summer. I don't use a base or top coat and mine doesn't chip for about 4 days. I think this stuff is amazing.
I've used Barry M with a base coat and topcoat and it still chipped off with a day or so. They do some gorgeous colours, but i don't rate its staying power at all.

well what i do is i do it right before im about to take a shower, i try to take it off really quick, and while im doing i keep the bottle closed [less fumes that way].
I wouldn't sit there sniffing the polish or remover, but as long as there is adequate ventilation then there is no problem having your nails done while pregnant.
Don't worry, it is safe...just try not to breathe in the fumes too much!

If you go somewhere nicer, that will probably give just about as good of a job, it'll cost up to 15 or 20 dollars! If you're talking about getting acrylic nails, and getting those painted, it'll be from 20-40, once again depending on how flashy and popular the salon is.

I'm trying to think of the ingredient... acetone? If it is a non-acetone fingernail polish remover, it won't be nearly as bad as if it does have acetone. At any rate, like the guy above said, wash it off asap! Just be gentle. Yup, it will work. Whatever kind of paint you have on your tile, it is probably not as potent as nailpolish, so it should work. I use this trick all the time.
I've used nail polish remover before to remove paint. You might want a polish remover that has acetone in it. Nail polish remover also works well removing permanent marker.

There exists a little tool called a nail puller, or a cats claw. It looks like a small crowbar. One end is rounded and has a claw that can easily be driven under the head of the nail. With this tool you can have that off in about thirty seconds. Any of your friends that work in construction will be familiar with this tool (especially ones who make a lot of mistakes!)
What Simon means is to use the knife to ';score'; the corners at the edge of the 2x4 where it meets the painted wall surface. If you don't paint will peel off the wall as you pry it off.


Use the ';cat's paw'; as described to dig in around the nails and pry them up as much as you can. Finish prying the nails out with a crow bar. If you're not used to using these tools, use gloves.

It has a thickness, so it could keep the key from fitting in the hole. You can try and scrape it off if you see that it doesn't work. Don't bother putting any on the teeth, it'd wear away in no time, nor in the grooves, it would most certainly obstruct them.

Hi--why not just paint the top part to keep it noticable on your chain.





That way it won't interfere with the cut part that helps open the lock. That said, it wont' cause that much of an issue as nail polish is thin. The most that will most likely happen is that it flakes off.

Why dont my parents let me paint my nail besides clear and im 12?

Because they probably want to keep you safe, and young. Makeup, colored nail polish, etc., draws attention - often negative male attention. They most likely want to protect you from the pervs in the world.





WHy don't you sit down and ask them? Make it clear you respect them, and are simply trying to express yourself, and ask if there can be a compromise? For example ,choosing pale, neutral polish colors, rather than red, etc.Why dont my parents let me paint my nail besides clear and im 12?
Because if they let you, you'll naturally go and painth them every week and that will cause you unhealthy and yellow nails, you don't want that, right?


Also, they don't want you feel ';grown-up'; so early. So, when you're looking from this point-of-view, they are right.

that's strange. sometimes you never know what parents think. parents can be parents. I know a girl who isn't allowed to wear scented lotion or perfume... so don't feel like your the only one who has restrictions.

This could go a couple of ways. You could do that and it all turn out great if you kinda know what to watch for. You could do that and get a dot connected from your case to the button and the button be stuck. You could do it and it all be streaked.

I took mine apart (it was already out of warranty and I'm handy with electronics) and painted it using a vinyl dye.





It actually slightly melts the surface of the plastic and gets the colour into it. It's lasted for years, and I've only had slight rub off on the bottom of the controller where I toss it onto the table at night.





The key is light, quick coats. I think I used about 25 coats in all. You can always add another coat, but you can't take one off!
If I could thumb up, or down, I would on this one but I'm still level one and can't. Go with the vinyl dye the other poster suggested; it works great for things like this! Nail polish will probably chip off unless you're never going to touch it!

But if you were to do saaaay dark red, red, a darker pink, pink, %26amp; a light pink, that wouldn't look so bad. Or if you did all warm colors like red, orange, yellow, pink, idkk... another warm color haha or all cool colors.
I wouldn't do that color combination. Do colors that stick together, or stay in the same tone. If you did pale pink-pale orange-pale yellow-pale green-pale blue, it'd be cute. But if you did neon orange-black-pale blue-maroon-hot pink, it'd be kind of awkward :]

that would take forever, you know they sell spray paint for cars in the automotive section in a lot of stores or at least small botles made for cars(as in think about how long it takes nail polish to chip off your fingers and then cut that in half since it's outside, so go for the paint made for cars to it wont wear off ). paint it powder blue!

Some salons don't allow it but some do. Just ask your salon. Some charge extra and some don't. They honeslty shouldn't charge you extra since they are using your product and not theirs, but they might charge you for the ';labor';. it all depends on the salon. If your a regular customer, sweet talk them into doing it and suggest them on getting that color for a ';prefered customer';. It depends on the salon, so you should call ahead and ask the salon. I've gone to more expensive salons, and they usually refuse to use anything that you bring in simply because they don't want to be held responsible if you get an infection and try to sue them. However, most cheaper salons are fine with using whatever you bring in.

yes of course you can. As long as it's goodish quality paint that they will be able to achieve a good result from. If its cheap nail polish that won't go on nicely even when a profession doing it don't bring it in. But if you no they will be able to use it then bring it in. It won't cost you any extra either!
Hmm I find nail salon owners are usually pretty easy to piss off.. you might have to deal with them talking about you in a language that you don't understand like I usually am when I ask for something specific that they don't usually do..

Well, it all depends which nail salon, but i think that it would be fine, and you would~'t (and shouldn't) have to pay extra. if you do though, make sure its a reasonable price to pay, because you or a friend could always do your nails, for free. :) i really hope this helped.

I've done this before. People do this all the time. Take in what ever color/brand you like. They won't mind. Actually, it saves them money.





My mother has her own manicure utensils she takes with her everytime. She does this for hygenic reasons.
I don't think that it would cost you anything extra. I would certainly recommend that you take your own polish. One reason being that it is more sanitary and you will know how good the quality of the polish is.
You might want to bring in a few bottles of the color in case they don't have it, but they may have it, and charge you a little extra.

There are different types of brushes and rollers to use on the ceiling. Air brushing does not have the same coverage nor does it last for very long. Check your local hardware/paint stores for more info. Brush and rollering gives a thicker coat.
WHY NOT, I worked as a repair specialist and we have used may things from markers to dabs of caulking, test in conspicuous area and go to town!
The latex ceiling paint is more than likely too thick. That would also be a lot more trouble than just touching it up with a paintbrush or roller. If you do it right you won't see brush marks. One other thing is if your ceiling paint is very old the new paint will never match so it would be best to just paint the whole ceiling.

How can you make a dorm room colorful when u can't paint and can't nail things in the walls?

Shelf contact paper can be trimmed and applied to make really fun designs and decorations. Sort of like making your own homemade decals. The contact paper is vinyl and then gets peeled off when you move out.





Using regular paper, you can decorate and make trim using reusable/temporary poster putty/stickum.





And if your walls are white, you can hang very, very lightweight fabrics up using sewing pins as tacks. They make super small holes and you can ';spackle'; them using White Out at the end of the school year.How can you make a dorm room colorful when u can't paint and can't nail things in the walls?
Many places sell this sticky tack stuff that holds up posters and photos on walls and is really easy to take off. What I did in my room is print out a bunch of fun pictures of my friends and myself and then posted them on my wall in a kind of checker board style. You can staple and when you leave just fill the holes very carefully with a little joint compound. If your walls are light, it is hard to tell. What we used to do when we wanted our deposit back, is buy material and very carefully staple it to the top and bottom of some of the walls. Use straight pins if it needs tacking in between. The best thing I saw my nephew do was get an extra frame for his bed and put his bed on top of the second one and then have his study area under his bed. That was the smallest room I ever saw. You can hang things from the top bed.
Someone has somewhat answered my question, but get some Studio Tac - it looks like a pack of white candy strips or gum- a little piece of this will hang posters and light framed work to the walls without harming it.





Also you can get other hanging methods that don'tt put nails in the walls, like chain hangers, etc.
I would Use a really bright bedspread/quilt...tie in curtains to match....get a bright rug to either match or contrast...and use fabric to cover the doors of the wardrobe, if you have one, or closet doors...if you have cabinets, you can easily fasten the fabric to the inside of the cabinet with sturdy tape...and it can be taken down when it is time to move out, without having harmed the room and incurring damage charges.
If you want a bright room, try doing bright bedding and you can tape same color poster boards to the wall. Use for picture collage, schedule remainders, etc. Try adding color with a furr rug by your bed, and colorful lamp shade to match!
I would get sticky tack/tape to hang some posters up. Get fake (or real if you have the time to keep up w/ them) flowers/ small trees.

Indulge in various addictive substnaces..they make allkinkds of wild colors appear.

Yup, it will work. Whatever kind of paint you have on your tile, it is probably not as potent as nailpolish, so it should work. I use this trick all the time.
I've used nail polish remover before to remove paint. You might want a polish remover that has acetone in it. Nail polish remover also works well removing permanent marker.

There exists a little tool called a nail puller, or a cats claw. It looks like a small crowbar. One end is rounded and has a claw that can easily be driven under the head of the nail. With this tool you can have that off in about thirty seconds. Any of your friends that work in construction will be familiar with this tool (especially ones who make a lot of mistakes!)
What Simon means is to use the knife to ';score'; the corners at the edge of the 2x4 where it meets the painted wall surface. If you don't paint will peel off the wall as you pry it off.


Use the ';cat's paw'; as described to dig in around the nails and pry them up as much as you can. Finish prying the nails out with a crow bar. If you're not used to using these tools, use gloves.

Because they probably want to keep you safe, and young. Makeup, colored nail polish, etc., draws attention - often negative male attention. They most likely want to protect you from the pervs in the world.

that's strange. sometimes you never know what parents think. parents can be parents. I know a girl who isn't allowed to wear scented lotion or perfume... so don't feel like your the only one who has restrictions.


I guess maybe they don't want you to have colorful nail polish because they think it might distract you in what you do... I mean, during school when I'm wearing nail polish, I look down at my nails a lot, sometimes it distracts me.


I know that you probably won't, but maybe your parents think that you will be obsessed over your nail polish or something... I mean, my sister is always reapplying nail polish on even when it chips or something.

i want to paint my xbox controller. I know that you have to take the xbox controller apart to spray paint it but what if you use a brush? will it work if i dip the small brush into paint and just paint over the surface of the controller?Can i paint my xbox controller with nail polish?
This could go a couple of ways. You could do that and it all turn out great if you kinda know what to watch for. You could do that and get a dot connected from your case to the button and the button be stuck. You could do it and it all be streaked.





Or you can drop the 5 bucks on a T8 torx head driver and take it apart and paint it. You can also get a cheap airbrush and whatever color you want from walmart in the model car area for about 20 bucks%26lt;--thats what I suggest you do.Can i paint my xbox controller with nail polish?
I took mine apart (it was already out of warranty and I'm handy with electronics) and painted it using a vinyl dye.





It actually slightly melts the surface of the plastic and gets the colour into it. It's lasted for years, and I've only had slight rub off on the bottom of the controller where I toss it onto the table at night.





The key is light, quick coats. I think I used about 25 coats in all. You can always add another coat, but you can't take one off!
If I could thumb up, or down, I would on this one but I'm still level one and can't. Go with the vinyl dye the other poster suggested; it works great for things like this! Nail polish will probably chip off unless you're never going to touch it!

It wouldn't be as weird if you kept a color scheme to it. Then again, those colors would be unique and different. But if you were to do saaaay dark red, red, a darker pink, pink, %26amp; a light pink, that wouldn't look so bad. Or if you did all warm colors like red, orange, yellow, pink, idkk... another warm color haha or all cool colors.
I wouldn't do that color combination. Do colors that stick together, or stay in the same tone. If you did pale pink-pale orange-pale yellow-pale green-pale blue, it'd be cute. But if you did neon orange-black-pale blue-maroon-hot pink, it'd be kind of awkward :]

Yes you can. I do this all the time. Start with an empty or almost empty bottle and add a little of the colors you want to mix. It's a fun and inexpensive way to get different colors. The best part is if you don't like the color, throw in another color for something completely different. Of course you can, youd just have to be careful what colours you mixed because they will tend to turn into yucky browns.

Recently I mixed yellow and red nail polish to acheive a pretty orange nail polish color. And my nails came out beautifuly.
I used one color over another and got a very rich and smooth color. Lots of my friends liked the result. But I don''t think it will work by mixing them before you put them on, because it would be hard to fulling mix those thick liquid.

I crossdress and have two days at home all alone. I am not sure what to do. Should I paint my toe nails, practice doing my makeup, get courage and shave my legs, watch a chick flick, go shopping. Have a home spa.


Have a nice long bath with bubbles and sea salt and all that stuff, and shave your legs. Then style your hair in a new way, just to feel pretty.


Then have a mini-pedi or manicure. Get dressed up in your cutest and comfiest PJ'S . Then turn on the sappiest chick flick you can find and sob into your ice cream/popcorn.

If you get bored with that, go shopping! Buy a Lush bath bomb or bubble bar, or both, in a sweet scent. Take a good book in or just close your eyes and relax. When your done, paint your toenails.
..shave ur legs if they r hairy and then go shopping :)
